Kratie Province, located on the east bank of the Mekong River, attracts a fair share of visitors, many of whom wish to catch a glimpse of the last few Irrawaddy Dolphins left in the world.  The recommended place to see them is Kampi Village, about 15 kilometers from town. Irrawaddy Dolphins are an endangered species and are extremely rare; it is estimated there are only about 60 living in this stretch of the river.

The town of Kratie offers an authentic rural ambience, and therefore serves as the perfect place to spend a peaceful night or two. It is a nice relief from some of the country’s more trafficked areas.

There numerous sites to visit in Kratie. Phnom Sombok is a small temple located on a hill north of town. A long flight of steps lead into a pavilion of Phnom Sombok that features detailed photos of afterlife punishments to those who have sinned in the present life. Wat Roka Kandal is a restored pagoda with an ancient Lao style ‘Stupa’ on the riverfront about 2 kilometers from the town center. Nearby lies a more modern pagoda where chanting of the monks can be heard at dawn and in the evenings. About 15 kilometers from town, there is a large Cham community. This is known locally as the ‘basket-weaving’ village; it is the biggest in Kratie with over 4000 villagers living here.

Recently, we have had Puppet at Taluos village, Bos Leav commune, Chet Borei district, Kratie province and Wat Daun Trey Premary School in Chra Nol village, Thmei commune, Chet Borei district, Kratie province. This the first time that we performance the show about The prodigal son story is talking about the Father accepted His younger son who came home after wasting all his money by doing bad things. It shows the people about the love of God to human kind. Even we are sinners and do bad things against Him many times, He still loves us and accepts us back. Thank God for opening the way for us to proclaim His Name to the people. There were 254 children and teachers/adults had seen the show. Thank God for opening the heart of the school’s principal and village chief leader to allow us to present Christ to the students in school and village.

Praise the Lord for LHM Cambodia bring the media program to evangelized the Gospel of Jesus for those people in this province. Amen

Mrs. Va Vouch Lay lives in Prey Tear village, Sangkat Chom Chao, Khan Por Sen Chey, Phnom Penh City. She is married with 3 children, she owns a grocery shop at home nowadays. She is one of our Radio listenners and always asking many questions. While there is no customer coming to buy things she always spend times listening to the “Answer for Life” program from 6 pm to 7 pm. Through our Radio program she became the believer in this month of June 2016. Praise God for that.On June 09, 2016 Mr. Khen Channy, our radio announcer went to visit her and gave her the BCC booklets to study. Also on that day Mrs. Va Vouch Lay invited 6 others of her neighbours to meet and listen Mr. Khen Channy’s sharing the Gospel. Thank God for His unchanging love for every one far and near.

Recently, LHM Cambodia went to gather the listeners of our Radio program who listening to our program “Answer for life” broadcast every Mon-Friday time: 6:00PM-7:00PM and Overcome Fear from Mon-Saturday time: 7:00-7:30PM who broadcast through Family FM 99.5 MHz. The purpose of this program is to encourage the listeners and evangelize to non-Christian who join with us in that time. We went with our partners Family FM’s staff Thorm Neath Home Church at Thorm Neath village, Tang Krosang commune, Santuk district, Kampong Thom province. We love to talk to our listeners personally, and better still meet them face to face. So we take every opportunity for personal contact. Listeners can phone us and talk to our programmers or audience relations team. Sometimes we visit listeners in their homes to share the Gospel, encourage and pray with them. In partnership with local churches, we arrange youth events and listener rallies where we distribute radios so that more people can hear our broadcasts. There were 30 people attending the program. Praise God for leading us to meet and encourage and evangelism them in the faith.
